Barneys is such an icon in New York City. Does that sort of status affect the decisions you make daily? How does history play into your current decision-making?
"At Barneys we thrive on building and nurturing relationships with our designers and with one another in the company. I've grown up within Barneys and have developed my eye working with some of the most talented people in the world. I have learned to embrace integrity of design, respect creativity, and seek good energy. This resonates still. The
product, the story and the storytelling is what sets us apart. The challenge is to keep evolving and surprising."
Tell us what your average day is like. What do you find yourself looking forward to?
"Much of my time is spent in the showrooms looking at collections. I am constantly looking for newness and trying to keep up with what¹s happening in the market. At the moment, I'm immersed in putting together inspiration boards for our CO-OP and designer private label collections. There's a difference between loving clothes and loving fashion, which I've learned at Barneys. I look forward to discovering talented and creative people and find ways to support each other."
