Tomoko Ogura, Senior Fashion Director, Barneys New York
Working with Tomoko was particularly exciting, because over the course of our shoot, we had heard she received a major promotion, which means she serves as the arbiter of fashion to New York's fashion standard-bearer, deciding what Barneys chooses to shelve each season.

When did you first come to New York? How would you have defined your first year here?
"I came to NY in the Fall of 2004 upon graduating from college. I'd call it dynamic. Starting a new job, being in a new city, living in a new apartment, meeting new people it was all very exciting."

If you could go back and tell yourself anything, what would it be?
"Don¹t be afraid of change."
