Dripping with historic charm and beauty, the Palmer House Hilton is a special Chicago gem — and a perfect spot to kick off the holiday season with a plate of maple honey molasses roasted turkey with pistachio stuffing. Less traditional types can partake of options such as strip loin with a Pinot Noir reduction and pan- roasted Alaskan halibut with a Meyer lemon reduction. The Lockwood Thanksgiving dinner is served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and costs $65 for adults, $55 for seniors, and $30 for children. If you’re dining later in the day, grab a pre or post-meal drink in the super cozy Potter’s lounge, open at 4 p.m.

Lockwood, 17 East Monroe Street (between Wabash and State streets); 312-917- 3404.
