The cuisine here is the real deal — fresh (as the name implies) and tasty. So, if you’re over the beer and burger binges, head here to get a mix of mouth-watering cuisine. We hear the fish tacos are world famous. Plus, Barbie has a an eco-friendly dream house perched atop the roof — hybrid car, recyclables, and Keep Tahoe Blue stickers included. Um, enough said.

Base Camp Pizza: Not to be confused with the other Basecamp, this rustic eatery serves gourmet pizza pies in a cabin-like interior. With cool mash-ups like the Thai Curry or the Apple Gorgonzola, it steps Tahoe grub up a notch. Beers are served in adorable mason jars and most pies can come gluten-free. So, if you’re looking for a chill place to park it and chow down after a long day of activity … let it be Base Camp.

The Naked Fish: If you're looking for something a little lighter than pizza, head to this sushi spot, which specializes in super-creative rolls like the Nacho Mama (spicy octopus, fresh jalapeno, and corn chips, topped with hamachi, avocado, and spicy sauces). For weekday visitors, don't skip the happy-hour specials.
