And, The Best NYC Resto Of 2013 Is…

If a piece of raw fish over rice doesn't sound like a dream dish to you, we get it. It's hard to fathom that sushi would be the most sought-after dish in NYC. (We were thinking more along the lines of a rich fruit tart or out-of-this-world barbecue). But, take note: The West Village restaurant Sushi Nakazawa is on the top of nearly every best restaurant list this year. Including, we might add, the prestigious New York Times list penned by Pete Wells. The food critic writes, "With subtle fine-tunings of temperature and seasoning, [Nakazawa] can make a piece of sushi into the kind of sense-filling experience you wish could last and last." And, given that the acclaimed chef was trained by Jiro Ono, of Jiro Dreams Of Sushi fame, we're willing to trust Wells' expert opinion. Anyone else have a sudden craving for sushi?
Also on the list? Carbone, Uncle Boon's, and Eleven Madison Park. Maybe a new resolution for 2014 should be dieting trying all of them. (New York Times)
