Game Plan: Where To Catch The Super Bowl In L.A.

the-parish-300
Angelenos may not have a local football team to root for ever on Sunday, but that doesn't mean we sideline the sport altogether (we're glued to the tube whenever an episode of Friday Night Lights airs, after all!). And tomorrow, our Northern neighbors (go Niners!) are going head-to-head with the Baltimore Ravens for the Super Bowl title.
Watching the game from the comfort of your couch is always an option, but we're all about taking in the action alongside our friends and a few rowdy fans. Naturally, many eateries around town are offering some winning deals on food and drinks. For just $40, The Parish's Chef Casey Lane will serve up 20 stout-glazed chicken wings, a half gallon of ESP Noble Ale, house-made pork rinds, and fried olives. And, some spots, like The 35'er in Pasadena, will not only screen the ball game, but they'll be giving away a flatscreen TV along with tons of free popcorn. Plus, LA Weekly has three other fetes around town to choose from.
So, whether or not you know the difference between an onside kick and a kickoff, start lining up your crimson and gold wares — this weekend's bound to be a game changer! (LA Weekly)
