The Summer Party You Can't Miss

Surviving summer in the city usually goes one of two ways: embracing the searing heat of the concrete jungle or getting out of town altogether (ideally to someplace beachy and carefree). If you'd prefer the latter but your schedule or budget leaves you stuck to a 20-mile radius, rest assured: Sunglass Hut is making sure you won't miss out.

This Saturday in Chicago, your go-to source for the latest summer shades is giving you a reason to wear 'em all day and into the night at the Electrify Your Summer party — a 13-hour bash that keeps the daylight going well past sunset with a crowd-powered electric sun. We won't get into the nitty-gritty of how it works, but here's what you need to know: The more moves you bust, the brighter the sun.

So, gather your squad (and some extra sunscreen), and hit the dance floor at I|O Godfrey from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m. With a live DJ, photo booths, custom tattoos, local grub, and a pop-up shop with the latest shades from Sunglass Hut, the only thing you'll need to worry about is pre-stretching your hammies.

The I|O Rooftop Lounge at The Godfrey Hotel is located at 127 W. Huron St., Chicago, IL. No RSVP required. Upcoming tour dates include Miami, June 14 and NYC, June 20
