Sunday Riley's New Face Oils Are Nirvana For Your Face

In the world of facial oils, Sunday Riley's Juno is legendary. Able to bestow a dewy, lit-from-within, "No, I'm just genetically gifted" complexion, its blend of omegas, natural retinol, and essential fatty acids coupled with its unique non-greasy finish makes it the Holy Grail of facial oils.
Riley is looking to make magic happen thrice as she adds two new oils to her collection. Isis, which uses a trio of roses and rosehip oil to hydrate and slow down skin aging; and Artemis, featuring lemon myrtle and lemon ironbark to clarify, tone, and balance your complexion.
"Juno is so close to my heart — it is the first product we launched, and I wrote the formula for it on a napkin while waiting for a flight at the airport," says Riley. "We became known for Juno, but clients were so impressed with it they wanted to see what else we had in our oil arsenal. It’s critical to find the right oil to ensure you are getting the most benefits for your particular skin concern. While you won’t be doing any harm to your skin if you choose a different oil, you need to understand your skin type (dry, combination, mature) and the desired result (radiance, hydration, clarity)."
Now, we know many of you are big proponents of using pure oils you find at the grocery story or health-food store as beauty treatments, so we asked Riley what the difference was between her oils and the cheaper versions. "I don’t discredit the effectiveness of some grocery or drugstore products, but in cosmetics, ingredients are purchased at different quality grades, and the labels on products are oftentimes misleading," she explains.
"So, while a product may be displayed at 100%, the quality of it is poor so it isn’t as easily absorbed into the skin to yield the highest benefits. Higher quality oils are more expensive, but the investment is worthwhile — you can tell the difference instantly. Our oils are a blend of seven or eight of the purest cold-pressed seed oils (rosehip, cranberry, blackberry, wild carrot, chia, black cumin, to name a few) and the blend in each one really packs a punch." And, like most skin-care products, oils are not one-size-fits-all, meaning that while your BFF might swear by trusty Trader Joe's coconut oil for her dry skin, your easily clogged complexion might not see the optimal benefits.
Where do you fall on the facial-oil spectrum? Do you shell out a pretty penny or do you stick with a budget buy?
