"I met her while working at a club called the Glasslands in Williamsburg. I was throwing a queer dance party and her band played. She actually MySpaced me (this was back when MySpace was cool) and asked if her band could play the party. Then she saw my picture on the profile page and sent me a flirty email at the same time. I was like, 'Who is this ballsy person?' When we actually met I thought 'Oh no. She is very cute — but obviously knows it.' She had that way about her. I thought her band was incredible. I thought she was really clever. I wanted to be around her more."
