In case you haven't noticed, backpacks are not just the cartoon-covered carryalls that we once sported in second grade (okay, maybe junior high). The recent revival of the rucksack is polished, playful, and, yes, chic. However, as it turns out, the coolest designs we've come across actually do go back to school...but perhaps not in the way you'd expect.
Stone + Cloth, an online retailer that helps support education for children living in impoverished conditions, introduces its newest design, the Lucas. The $69 backpack donates $10 per purchase to the Knock Foundation, which assists with tuition, supplies, and school meals for students in need worldwide. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Lucas is adorable, to boot. The bag comes in three classic colors with brass hardware detailing, plus a genius, padded laptop sleeve that protects your precious tech toys while storing them all in an easy-to-carry sack.
