When did you know you wanted to open in San Francisco and why did you choose Hayes Valley?
"San Francisco really makes sense for us. It's our third city after New York and Los Angeles and it's nice that it has more than one season, so we can put our heavier coats in here and things like that. When we knew we wanted to open here, it was between Fillmore Street, the Mission, and Hayes Valley. And then it was also a matter of having the right space open up. This used to be a dry cleaner and we knew the person who just bought the building, so it was perfect."
