A week after Sandy wrought unprecedented destruction on our island, we’re inching towards normalcy with the help of everyone from the government to marathon runners — all of it appreciated. But it will still be months before the community truly recovers and even then, things may never be the same. For now, though, we remember we are in fact, a community, and pulling together as one.
