"This picture depicts probably the only time in my life when my mom and I will ever have the same haircut. I have no idea when or where this was taken, but I like to think it's some exotic carousel we were riding while off in a foreign land. Or, at least, more exotic than Wisconsin, where I grew up. I've been lucky enough to be my Mom's #1 travel companion, tagging along with her on all sorts of grown-up trips that only an only child will put up with. Here's to many more, Mom!"
