"My mom has always been the coolest chick I know. When she drove carpool in 8th grade, we would roll up to class with the windows down, blaring Van Morrison and Crosby, Stills, and Nash! In high school, any time my friends would come over, they'd hang out less and less frequently with me, and set up shop in the kitchen for gourmet snacks and gab with her instead.
