When most people hear the name Chanel, images of lush, quilted, leather handbags, bold red lipstick, and the infamous Chanel N°5 begin to dance in their heads. What many don't know is that Coco Chanel's signature scent, and last fragrance masterpiece — created almost half a century ago — was actually Chanel N°19 Poudré; an homage to her August 19, 1883 birthdate.
Lucky for us Chanelphiles, N°19 has newly resurfaced with a modern twist. Jacques Polge (Chanel's resident nose), has created a crisp, green, woodsy scent that's complemented by the bold and classic iris notes of the original fragrance. If there's one thing Chanel always evokes, it's elegance, and we know we can't wait to channel our inner Gabrielle Chanel.
