Simon Spurr And Timo Weiland Tell Us How To Make It In Menswear

Arcade44 has got another rocking video, this time with two of our fave hardworking boys, designers Timo Weiland and Simon Spurr, aptly entitled New Order. The rising menswear designers clearly have different approaches, but they had no problem sharing their inspirations, aesthetics, and advice. CFDA nominee Simon Spurr has been in the biz for quite a while—he's an alum of Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and YSL, while Weiland and Alack Eckstein of Timo Weiland premiered their line after "brief fashion internships." We enjoyed watching Timo being a little flirty with Spurr (watch him stroking his jacket), Simon's take on trends, and Eckstein's blazing blazer. But perhaps our top moment comes right at the end, when Spurr says "There is a new wave of menswear...there has to be a new Calvin Klein...and why shouldn't it be one of us?" And by one of us, we think he meant himself! Keep the competition coming boys!
