23 Fresh Coats
For him, the best spring jackets with a less-is-more approach. By Christene Barberich & Piera Gelardi
Spring renewal—for the sartorially minded, that means lightening up one's wardrobe with the turning of the calendar. No question, those first warmer days are like a siren song to pack up the parkas and make way for lightweight jackets and coats that are easy, good-looking, and a little transformative, especially if you're a guy who likes to keep things simple.
This season, we gravitated toward top layers that offer a smart study in contrasts, whether it's refinement with a laid-back vibe or old-school winter staples reinvented for hotter climes. Among our favorites are a few tried-and-true silhouettes, but this time around, each has a slight twist that feels fresh. That includes the new "denim" jacket (variations on the original with colored fabrics and new updated cuts) or the everyday anorak, a piece once intended for inclement weather that now makes a big statement on sunny days, too. Read on for a few more ways to top yourself off in style this spring.
