It's hard to imagine celebrating Christmas in LA: the sun shining brightly, the temperature a pleasant 70 degrees, shorts and flip-flops traipsing along the palm tree-laden streets, but nevertheless, we shall try. Even though it may not seem particularly Christmas-y on the Left Coast, they sure know how to shop. Should you find yourself dining at Toast on Third Street enjoying a temperate December day, we've got you covered for an afternoon of credit card damage.

Why? Let's hear it for the boy! For the bevy of men in your life, South Willard is a sexy and sophisticated way to say you care.
What to get? High-end duds, including Raf Simons clothing, Dries Van Noten shoes, masculine accessories and a selection of books and art.

Why? Because this place is a total hodgepodge of homewares. You will for sure find something for everyone here. Think a vintage-y Crate & Barrel.
What to get? Classic perfume holders, offbeat home furnishings, and kitschy knick-knacks and toys (viewfinders, anyone?).

Why? This store, which carries a mix of vintage and up-and-comers has unique and sexy pieces for the ultimate LA gal.
What to get? Bags, shoes, skirts, tops, you name it.

Joans on Third: 8350 West Third St, 323-655-1967
Why? This bakery/ eatery is a friend to celebs and pastry-lovers alike. With holiday party season in full swing, nothing is nicer than a tray of cupcakes or a tin of cookies to say thank you to your host.
What to get? Anything with frosting, duh.

Satine, 8117 West Third St, 323-655-2142
Why? This is the store for that actress girl you know who only works once a year yet somehow always wears Proenza to brunch at Cafe Midi and YSL to slum it at Spaceland
What to get? Lanvin, Alaia, Pierre Hardy, oh my!
