Let's Play Doctor: Operations Opens New Meatpacking District Home

Last night, the boys from the military-inspired clothing line Operations officially opened the doors to their second New York location in the Meatpacking District with a lovely fete. The small store was clean and well laid out, sporting eclectic touches like antique books and knick-knacks displayed amongst the clothes and chalkboard walls. The label, which was launched in 2004, offers a collection of closet staples such as peacoats, leather jackets, blazers, denim and the sort. The boys haven't left out the ladies, though, offering a selection shirt dresses, vests, cropped pants and petite trench coats. The real draw here is the subtle details, such as linings with a hint of neon, leather buckles and leather lined pockets on the coats. The lookbook showed an assortment of great fitting classics that everyone should have in their closet, shot on location in a variety of New York locales. With stylish cuts like these, we would gladly go under the knife with this trio.

Operations is located at 50 9th Avenue, between 14th and 15th Streets; (212) 924-1971, www.operationsny.com.
