A Long Wait Gets Longer: Topshop Soho Delayed... Again!

topshop0918bthumb.jpgTopshop Soho has delayed its opening yet again, this time until Spring 2009! Look, we love us some Topshop and we really are eager to see the result of these many months of work, but we're getting thirsty here. Topshop Capo di tutti capi Sir Philip Green blamed construction issues when he spoke to the Financial Times. "This is a major rebuild of a 150-year-old building. I tried to get it done for November, but I was trying to do it to get 30 days of trading, but in the end I decided there was too much risk and distraction." Really, Sir Philip, we would be happy with some plywood stalls, plastic racks, and IKEA counters. We don't need glass floors and spiral staircases or whatever you're nailing together behind that big vinyl picture of Kate Moss on Broadway. For us, it's all about the clothes. (Financial Times)
