"We did everything ourselves, from planning to decorations. We scoured thrift shops to find an assortment of vintage table cloths that reminded us of home, emptied wine bottles to use as carafes and table settings, and decided to use air plants in place of flowers and asked guests to keep them as mementos of the evening."
