There's something about Pegleg NYC's new summer collection that almost makes us welcome this heat with open arms. The line's whimsical, nautical-inspired tanks and tees, featuring simple, colorful decals of sailboats, life preservers, and toy planes, take us back to a gentler, simpler time.
Stare at the kindergarten colors too long and we're back on summer break from elementary school, popsicle juice down our chins, tearing through the playground. A selection of bright, multihued shorts—the kind where each of the four panels is a different color—and some zany patterned swim trunks complete the look, as do a slew of tongue-in-cheek baseball caps. The bright shades and simple construction—not to mention the tanks' generous armholes—are just what the doctor ordered this summer.
