Finally, A Wearable That Tracks Your Sex Life

Tired of just counting steps? Well, a new wearable may add an extra spark to those basic stats — by keeping track of your sex life, too.  Called the Geeksme, the tracker is smartphone manufacturer Geeksphone's first foray into the wearable world. In addition to the usual features — including notifications, sleep monitoring, and fitness tracking — the smartwatch comes with two intriguing additions: One that somehow tracks users' environmental impact (your water consumption, for example) and another for their sexual performance. The project's director of innovation told TechCrunch that users will have to manually alert the device when they start having sex. But, then it will use heart rate to track performance and calories burned during each session. Over time, it will gather information about how often and for how long users have sex, allowing them to see all kinds of titillating patterns. Which could end up being impressive, enlightening, or a little disheartening, depending on how you look at it. We've talked previously about performance-tracking devices, such as the SexFit, which measures "thrusts per minute." However, the Geeksme can also be used by people without penises, and it integrates sexual information with all the other things wearables can track. No word yet on the price of the new tracker, but TechCrunch reports the company is aiming to get it out this summer. So, until then, we'll just have to keep track of our exploits the old-fashioned way.
