So, this could go either way, but we're hoping there's a grain of truth in today's lastest Sex and the City prequel movie rumors. Sure, Selena Gomez has nixed being the next Charlotte York, and Blake Lively's publicists are saying she won't be playing Carrie or Samantha. But denials be damned: Today, The Daily Mail (so take it with a grain of salt) is reporting that the prequel is happening, and the top-billing will go to some of Tinseltown's hottest young actresses. The movie will apparently be based on Bushnell's two books, The Carrie Diaries and Summer And The City, which chronicle the SATC gang in their teens and 20s. The supposed lineup: Blake Lively as Samantha Jones, Selena Gomez as Charlotte, Emma Roberts as Miranda, and, amazingly, Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie. While this is pretty much guaranteed idle speculation, remember that The Hobbit is filming right now. Booyah.
