Scout’s Honor: A Collection For The Cosmopolitan Hippie

scoutla_pipeline.jpg
L.A.-based boutique Scout has gathered an increasingly large following for its selection of handpicked designer and vintage items, all characterized by eccentric shapes and deadstock flair. Now, to the delight of flower children everywhere, they've applied that signature style to a new endeavor--the launch of their new in-house line. The collection is fresh take on the loose silhouettes, textured fabrics, and tie-dyes familiar to Joanna Newsom fans and anyone who's seen Woodstock: Three Days of Peace and Music. An inky batik fabric shows up on several billowy tops and an expertly cut jacket, while a gently worn deerskin bag dyed a marbled sky-blue features matching braided shoulder straps. Frayed denim shorts and rich floral velvet pieces complete the look, while a black twisted cotton dress, cinched at the waist, is the yin to the collection's yang. The bohemian goddess has never looked so sharp.
