We can't tell if its the looks, or the lookbook's regular BMOC (Big Man On Campus), but we can't find a single misstep in Scotch & Soda
's latest men's collection. For fall, the Dutch import has changed some things up — like narrowing their proportions and diversifying their textures — but their classically autumnal palette
keeps the leaf-changing season familiar.
From the bright tomato anorak to the deep evergreen pea coat, all the outerwear is offered up in full, stunning saturation. With many exceptions (i.e. the whale blue dyed chambray shirt or the dusty taupe jumper), things begin lighten up in the layers, like the slender peach and pink wovens, or the limber-collared lumber jack oxford. These in-between pieces provide great, super-necessary contrasts to the more rough-and-tough, in-your-face bold numbers, making for a range that's so staple but not snoozy, with easy (easy
) items that guys can wear day after day after day, whether they're on the quad or in a square-shaped office. It almost makes you forget that 'tis the season of the dreaded nipple tank, no? (Dude on the 3rd floor, we're talking to you.)
