Your October Love Horoscope, Revealed

comments
October is the month for true love. The sun blazes a trail through Libra and Scorpio — the signs associated with partnerships and deep bonds. And from the 8th on, Mars and Venus stroll hand in hand — their magic getting some serious love from supersizer Jupiter. But will these heart-opening vibes point us to a new leading man or lady, or will they send us back in time? With Mercury retrograde until the 9th, the stars are spinning sentimental jams. Old flames could make a comeback, and couples may start feeling nostalgic. On the 27th, the tell-it-like-it-is full moon of Taurus helps us place people in their proper categories in our lives and make some serious plans for the future. Ready or not, this month’s about to stir up some feelings.

Scorpio Love Forecast

Bad blood, begone! You know you can hold a grudge longer than most, but hanging on to resentment only poisons you. Gather the olive branches early in the month; it’s time to kiss and make up with your sweetie. But if a toxic ex creeps back into your life during Mercury retrograde (September 17 to October 9), drop those branches and bolt the door shut.

The fantasy-fueled new moon on the 12th could bring some fairy-tale vibes your way. Plan a dream date or dress up and hit the town. You could meet someone while dancing or at a new live show. Looking for a more serious commitment? Your perfect mate may be found through mutual friends, especially while Mars and Venus conjoin with Jupiter on the 15th and 25th. Then, the full moon on the 27th falls in your commitment house. You’ll know right away if you’re in it for the long haul or not. (And you may find yourself at the nearest engagement ring store.)

Your Beauty Forecast: Peek-A-Blue
To get the look, shade in just the outer corners of your lids below the crease, using a bright-turquoise eye pencil. Use a smudger brush (or the sponge end of your liner) to diffuse the color into your skin for an ethereal effect. Next, up the flirty factor with false lashes. If you’re a newbie, place a hand mirror on a table and look down at your nose as you apply each strip as close to your lashline as possible. Press lightly along the strip until the glue dries. Then, swirl a melon-colored blush on the apples of your cheeks for a bit of brightness. Finish off with a few swipes of brick-red lip gloss, giving this pretty pastel look a little autumnal edge.
