2
Break out your fiercest front-row looks, because it's time for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's annual event: The Walk. This Friday, May 3, the SAIC’s fashion-obsessed are taking over Millennium Park to put on four remarkable fashion shows that highlight the school’s interdisciplinary approach to fashion. Tickets start at $40 for early birds attending the 9 a.m. dress rehearsal, rise to $75 for the 12 and 3 p.m. shows, and then to $500 for stylish overachievers who attend the main evening runway-show event.
Serving as a fundraiser for student scholarships, The Walk is the SAIC’s chic gala benefit that will award the school’s Legend of Fashion Award to Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy, and the Heart of Fashion Award to longtime SAIC supporter Melissa Sage Fadim. In addition to honoring fashion heroes, tickets to the event include a pre-show cocktail hour, entrance to the 6:30 p.m. runway show, and an elegant rooftop dinner. But whether you’re going for the early morning preview or the full-fledged evening event, get your tickets now. We definitely don’t want you to miss a chance to say you knew these risings stars back when!
