    Those chain-print polyester shirts that you used to steal from your mother to play dress-up probably convinced you at an early age that you should avoid scarf-print fashion like the plague. Itchy, cheesy, and faux-baroque-y, the print somehow only looked okay if it was in the context of a joke.

    However, the new scarf print is a whole different animal, and it doesn't have even a sliver of cheese. In paisleys, hatchmarks, and geometrically laid-out patchworks, these modern versions look polished and pretty, and don't need to be worn with white Reeboks and a stonewashed denim.
