Kreayshawn Serves Up Breakfast And Kreay-Kreay Antics In This New Vid

We’re not going to lie: We kinda-sorta expected Kreayshawn to join the ranks of the one-hit-wonder club. Hey, can you blame us? Sure, her tunes are catchy, but staying power? We're not so sure.

Well, Kreayshawn’s attempting to prove us wrong on that note. The Oakland native is back at it with a brand-spankin’-new single and a sophomore album slated for August 14. The video for her new jam, titled "Breakfast," is executed in true Kreayshawn form: Mildly toe-tapping beats, a wardrobe courtesy of Party City, and zany lyrics.

While we’re not counting down the days to the LP's release date, we will admit that "Breakfast" is a tad more grown-up than the Kreay we’re used to seeing. She’s swapped out the Minnie Mouse ears for an apron. So...that’s something, right? Check out Kreayshawn’s new diddy above and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Booze & Tunes: Check Out The Lineups At 3 Hot Summer Vineyard Concerts

The end of Coachella giving you the outdoor-concert blues? Then we’ve got the perfect remedy: These next few months will be jam-packed with killer outdoor concert lineups, going down at none other than three gorgeous Bay Area wineries!

First, hit up Wente Vineyard’s six days of outside concerts in Livermore with headliners Earth, Wind, and Fire, Sheryl Crow, and Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers.

Next, head over to the iconic Robert Mondavi Winery to see indie acts such as The Plain White T’s, Five For Fighting, Of A Revolution, and The Hills’ theme-song crooner Natasha Beddingfield.

And, perhaps the most impressive appearance of them all will be Mr. Ringo Starr himself, who's hitting up the Mountain Winery in Saratoga. The Beatles legend will be joined by Colbie Caillat, Willie Nelson, and Chris Isaak.

And even though the lineups are already pretty solid (not to mention supremely parent-friendly), the theatrics don’t end there. Expect a four-course meal at Wente Vineyards, fireworks at Mondavi, and comedic acts like Sarah Silverman thrown into the mix at Mountain. Ready to give your festival wares another go? Grab your tickets, and start planning your weekend trips accordingly!

Good News: Outside Lands Announces Its Jam-Packed Lineup!

Hot off the heels of Coachella (round one), our minds are already anxiously looking ahead to the next best music fest — which coincidentally enough, is going down on the stomping grounds of our very own Golden Gate Park.

Attention Early Birds! Score Outside Lands & Edward Sharpe Tix This Week

It’s that time of year again! With SXSW in full swing and Coachella creeping up — it’s safe to say concert season is upon us. And here in the Bay, there’s no mega-music shindig that gets us going quite like the all-encompassing Outside Lands.

Well, show-goers, get ready to set your alarms, because a definite date’s been set! The larger-than-life food-and-tune fete is slated to hit Golden Gate Park August 10 through 12. And for all you early birds out there, pre-sale tickets ($165 for the full 3-day pass) are up for grabs on the official OL website starting Friday, March 16 at 12 p.m. Sure, it may feel far away now, but this is exactly the kind of big-deal bash that requires some advance planning.

Hot Ticket: Catch Dominant Legs And Vetiver In Oakland This Thursday

Nothing gets us amped up for warmer temps like the thought of concert season creeping up. And when it comes to our local music scene, we’re ready to hit the nearest venue (the Bay does boast some of the best!) at the drop of a hat. Luckily, the much-loved indie event peeps (((folkYEAH!))) are back at it and featuring two outstanding acts this Thursday.
Vetiver and S.F.-based Dominant Legs (an R29 fave) will play The New Parish in Oakland (it’s worth the trip, trust) for a festive night of folk and synth-pop beats. It’s sure to be an evening of hip harmonies and for $15, it’s not going to break the bank, either. See you there? We thought so.

Local Love: We're Going Gaga For The Latest Girls Music Vid

When it comes to homegrown talent, we've watched our very own indie rock band, GIRLS, flourish from an acutely acclaimed local act to national indie superstars, right before our eyes. From hitting the stage in a Brooklyn church to getting snapped by the famed Hedi Slimane, these guys have accelerated at a beyond-impressive pace.

We're enthralled with the tunes (and quirky style) the S.F.-based band produces, and their latest video is no exception. "My Ma" is the third single off the album Father, Son, Holy Ghost, and delivers every ounce of captivating GIRLS sound we've come to expect. This Exists: You Can Play Kreayshawn Dress-Up With This New Game

So, we’ve already solidified the fact that Oakland rapper Kreayshawn isn’t exactly a gleaming example of sensational style. But the outspoken artist definitely has at least a few sartorial tricks up her sleeve. If you’re going to sport sequined Minnie Mouse ears, hey, we guess you better rock 'em shamelessly — à la Kreay-Kreay.

But the latest and greatest in Kreayshawn-related news comes to us in form of this ridiculous, albeit amusing, dress-up game, aptly named Kreayshawn’s Closet.

So, just what will you find lurking in the rapper’s e-wardrobe? The usual suspects: a "Bucci" shirt, malt liquor, black-rimmed glasses, a gallon of milk, a blunt, an oversized Fred Flinstone sweater, a random pair of reindeer antlers, and lots more.

It Was Only A Matter Of Time: Kreayshawn Gets The Terry Richardson Treatment

After posing in a Marie Claire portfolio decked out in a pretty mash-up of mixed prints (and a few surprising pieces of "Gucci, Gucci" jewelry), the Bay's own Kreayshawn is continuing to make her way into the high-fashion glossies with her most recent story in V Magazine .

In the Terry Richardson shoot, Kreayshawn definitely takes a big fashion step backward, for the magazine's music issue (Justin Bieber graces the cover), rocking one of those god-awful SpiritHoods, over a black bra and matching jeans.

Style aside, the accompanying interview is pretty much the same bio we've read before, with some standard confusing quoteables thrown in. Our personal favorite: “People hear ‘white rapper’ and they say, ‘Oh, she’s racist.’ But when Tiger Woods plays golf, no one calls him racist. Why do I have to go through this?”
