Shop It NowWe Called It: Jenna Lyons And Her Bay Area Lookalike Meet At NYFW!
Um, remember when we mused out loud about the likeness between our very own St. Helena-raised model Michele Ouellet and J.Crew titan Jenna Lyons? (If not, get your refresher here).
Well, it looks like the folks at J.Crew are on the exact same page, casting Ouellet for the fall '12 NYFW presentation that took place just yesterday. Of course, Lyons is totally in on the doppelganger effect as well, posing with the model-slash-vintner (who stars in Madewell's new denim campaign, plus her very own Vogue feature this month!) with a big grin on her mug. Can a J.Crew campaign for Ouellet (aka "Little Jenna" to the folks at Madewell) be far away? We're crossing our fingers that it's happening sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, check out our profile of pretty lady Ouellet showing us around her St. Helena home base and playing dress up all the while (of course).

Peep The Best Looks From The Academy of Art's Fall '12 Show
Although there are a slew of designers with Bay Area roots showing during New York Fashion Week (Alexander Wang, Erin Fetherston, the Rodarte duo, Derek Lam, etc.), there's really only one current resident going directly from San Francisco to the tents and then coming back again, and that would be the Academy of Art University.
The only fashion school whose students show during the seven days of fashion frenzy, the AAU set up shop at Lincoln Center on Friday night, showcasing the work of student designers Wu Di, Amy Bond, Xiang Zhang, Deanna Pei-Ju Lo, Donghyuk Dan Kim, Farida Khan, Kate Y. K. Lee, Jeanette Au, and Jade Juanyu Liu.
So, which of the fall '12 looks topped our list of faves? Take a click through after the jump and rest assured that our fine town is representing.

An S.F. Model Shares Her NYFW Photo Diary!
Want to experience New York Fashion Week from a Bay Area perspective? Look no further than this NYFW photo diary of Woodside-born model
Mackenzie Drazan,
over at WWD.The 16-year-old model got her start back in 2010 when she signed with Elite Paris (she's since been linked to Stars Model Management) and made her debut at the Valentino couture shows. Between then and now, she's walked the runways of some of fashion's biggest players, including Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton, Celine, and others.
In between sipping Starbucks near Lincoln Center and logging in some homework hours (you know, for high school), the teen is chronicling the backstage madness at the likes of Helmut Lang and Peter Som, her top on-the-runway shots and trends (she's digging peplums!), and her secret to getting through the week. Check it all out right here.
And, for more born-in-the-Bay hotness, peep our profile of gorgeous model-slash-vintner Michelle Ouellet and this roundup of the best based-in-S.F. mannequins.
