Catch A Sneak Peek Of This Stellar S.F. Movie-Themed Exhibit!

It’s true: We definitely have bragging rights for the supporting role our city has played in classic, groundbreaking cinema. From films shot on location (Vertigo, Bullitt, The Graduate) to housing Pixar and LucasFilm studios in our own backyard — S.F. is a true unsung movie star. Plus, we house over 50 film festivals every year.

So, it's about time that someone showcased the love affair between our fair city and a bevy of renowned flicks. Luckily, the just-opened exhibit titled "San Francisco And The Movies: The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of" does just that. The cinematic showing is a trove of movie loot: Original screenplays, celluloid strips, posters, props (like the bird from The Maltese Falcon), and paintings by film and fashion icon Kim Novak are included.
