Blink and you could miss this chandelier-studded brick-walled galley. On the second floor, tucked inside celeb chef Charlie Palmer’s new Mystic Hotel in Union Square, this favorite local hangout was largely left untouched after the recent renovation. The ‘20s film-noir decor and its hard-to-find location make Burritt Room the ideal love nest for conspiring Bonnie and Clydes and adulterous lovers — you know who you are! It’s just you, your man, and an expertly mixed cocktail (our favorite is the fiery Poquito Picante, a fragrant blend of tequila blanco, aperol, lime, and chili tincture) against the world.
