Each piece seems to have such character — were you deliberate in decorating, or is this a collection of all your favorite things?
"There was nothing really pre-planned about the décor in my apartment. I moved in about five years ago with my husband Patrick, and for the first few months it was pretty much empty. We had a rough idea of the layout of the space, but would make one addition at a time. Each decision we made would bring new ideas, and we allowed ourselves to be flexible, so the overall feel is very natural and organic to who we are. All of the things in my apartment came from countless sources and time periods, which expresses my interest in history, but also modern and contemporary design."
