1. Charley Harper. I found a Harper print at a flea market for $10 and became obsessed (and subsequently acquired a bunch of his work, books, and even made the trek to his house for an interview). This book is about to come out so legions of Top Design-watching hipsters can get a peek at Charley's amazing work.
2. Tapio Wirkkala. This classic Finnish designer was the Eames, Harry Bertoia, and Isamu Noguchi, all rolled into one Santa Claus-looking character. Do an eBay search, but not until my current auctions are done.
3. Sorcerer. Who is the mysterious Sorcerer? He's the master of aural abracadabra, that's who. I am stoked for this guy's full-length album, which is due out soon on Tirk.
Sam Grawe is the editor of the award-winning design and architecture magazine, Dwell.
