The original pinup-girl wave was achieved using curlers. But hey, you're a (busy) modern-day gal, so the only things you need are:

1. Curling wand (not iron with the clamp)
2. Sea-salt primer such as Davines No. 14
3. Hydrating oil such as Davines Glossing Modeling Putty
4. Hairspray
5. Brush
