It’s a bit of trek here, but one excursion will guarantee regular sojourns to this shining star of New York’s vintage boutiques. Opened in 2002, the East Village store has become a magnet for stylists and designers, thanks to owner Leana Zuniga’s utter devotion to regularly updating her stock with exceptional vintage pieces, making every single visit a new experience rife with discovery. Zuniga spends about 50% of her time traveling between California, Europe, and Japan in search of the perfect silk and cotton finds as well as a bounty of eye-popping prints.

There are some designer items, too, but the foundation here always seems to be pieces that highlight Zuniga’s connection to textiles of the past. The space’s warm golden walls and wicker furnishings make for a cozy vibe reminiscent of a sunlit cabana. Extra credit: the impeccable selection of original 1920s jewelry is alone worth the trip.
