Medium Skin Tones, For Night
When workng with a really bold, opaque color, Soliz says precision is key. That's why he suggests lining lips with a matching liner first, and then applying your lipstick with a lip brush for a more defined, polished look and better control with your application. Added bonus: The liner acts as a magnet for the lip color, holding it in place for longer. Want to give your lips enough staying power to actually last all night long? Try this pro tip: Soliz says to take a piece of two-ply tissue and separate the two sheets. Take the one sheet and gently place it on your freshly-painted lips. Dust a bit of loose powder onto the tissue — it will sink in through the paper and onto the lips, setting the color without dulling the shade or gunking up the texture of the lipstick.
For medium skin tones, Soliz likes Sephora Color Lip Last in #20 Wanted Red (on Smita), Illamasqua Lipstick in Maneater, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in NSFW, Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Hellbent.
