The Natural

November18_second.jpg Given the rampant ubiquity of today's super-human handbags, it's practically a relief to discover a new line that can make a statement without forcing its wearer to look like everyone else. Manhattan-based Patricia Lukoszek (who named her line November XVIII, after her birthday) likes the idea of her year-old collection of clothing and handbags molding to the body. In fact, a few of her streamlined bags even reference the anatomy—the kidneys, pancreas, and liver—for their pliable, ultra-natural shapes. Lukoszek uses soft leather lined with an even softer ultrasuede, so these unconventional clutches and shoulder bags have an ease but also an undeniable elegance that's irresistible. For spring, the crisp white oversized shoulder tote is a dream, minus distracting hardware and roomy enough to hold the hardcover edition of your summer read—plus just about anything else.
