Every so often, the clouds part and out peeks a brilliant moment of online inspiration — a "gosh-we-love-the-Internet" epiphany, if you will. Today is one of those days, thanks to the genius idea we just snagged from Poor Little It Girl blogger Cathy Anderson. In her quest for the perfect fall lippies, Anderson hit up a drugstore with a solid return policy, picked up 20(!) shades, and tried them all, documenting them with photos for the truest side-by-side comparison. She ended up with eight favorites, and wasn't stuck with any duds, thanks to aforementioned awesome return policy. (Do we wonder what happens to returned beauty products? Yes, but that's another story.) We're totally going to try this the next time we're agonizing over a couple shades in the beauty aisle, instead of flipping a coin and choosing one at random. Who knows? Maybe we'll finally find our own perfect, affordable red. (And coral, and fuchsia, and petal pink.) Now, to find a pretty blue wall for our own photo shoot... (Poor Little It Girl)
