While we like parties and champagne plenty, there's nothing quite like ringing in the new year with real change, which is why we were pleased as punch to see "Curves Ahead," the latest editorial from the V Magazine size issue. This refreshing spread features real women of normal body sizes receiving the same kind of high fashion treatment Kate or Lara might get, complete with the photography skills of Sølve Sondsbø and the styling of Lady Gaga's go-to fashion guru, Nicola Formachetti. While we would've liked to see the models rocking some more high-fashion looks, we were encouraged to see the models looking confident, healthy, and attractive without the help of overzealous retouchers. Overall, we say good effort, V Magazine, and here's to hoping this is just one of the many positive changes 2010 will bring.
