Stockholm Fashion Week: The Shows, The Parties, The Street Style, and More!

It might not be Paris or New York, but all the Swedes lighting up Stockholm Fashion Week definitely prefer it that way. Touching down on a dark and misty metropolis (the sun sets at 4:30!), we had lots of ground to cover in just 72 hours. Whyred, Acne, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, and Minimarket were just a few of the favorites we were able to capture on and off the runways.
Fifteen shows and 600 images later, we feel as though we've merely scratched the surface of what this city has to offer, exceptional fashion and personal style ranking right up there with smoked herring and viking lore. Check out the first installment of snaps from our Nordic journey, and stay tuned for Part II, featuring even more fashion, trends, and runway reports from Stockholm.
Above, from left: Band-leader jackets still going strong! The red-lit runway at Rodebjer.

Above, from left: A cobblestone alleyway in the city's Old Town area. Paris by way of Stockholm outside the tents at Berns.

Above: Fur, pink sneakers, bright lipstick…and Uggs…somehow it all works on these models outside of the Minimarket show.

Above: Intense looks inside and outside the J. Lindeberg party. Love that hair!

Above: More from the J. Lindeberg party. How cute are they? Great styling with the tie as ascot.

Above: We obsessed her look so much we were almost convinced to buy pointy, patent pumps!

Above, from left: Our own Joan of Arc and Human League front man (we wish) at the J. Lindeberg party. A still from the latest collection.

Above: One of our favorite style spottings so far. She couldn't have been sweeter.

Above, from left: Angelic models in the balcony at Berns. Makeup and stained glass, together at last in the prep area.

Above: Cherubs and champagne swillers at the Acne show and party hosted at this gallery-like private home.

Above, from left: Wedge boots, plastic pants, and jewelry on view at Acne.

Above: Stalking the runway at Whyred.

Above, from left: On the runway of The Local Firm—this photo reminded us of a punk Vermeer. PYTs outside the The Local Firm show.

Above: Pretty, happy Swedish couple at the J. Lindeberg party.

Above: Good gray denim and skinny heels on the runway at Whyred.

Above, from left: Crowding into the church-like museum where Whyred was shown. A dapper gent outside the show.

Above, from left: Waiting to walk, backstage at Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair. And more waiting.

Above: Sweden's own Amelia Earhart. We might have to pick this hat up (it's from NK) before we leave town!

Above: Yes boys and girls, that's a scrunchie.

Above, from left: Star Trek in the lobby at the Nordic Light hotel. Male bob alert! Trend to watch?
