Photo Diary: Skin and Style on Display at Fashion Rio

As we were suiting up like skiers here in NYC, our globe-trotting lensman friend Pete Miszuk was heading south to Fashion Rio where he was once again happy to document his escapades (and a much-MUCH sunnier clime) just for us.
An email from him midweek told of being carted out to the jungle to watch a fashion show under a rainforest canopy with butterflies fluttering everywhere (unreal! And to think we just have Exit Art!). We're just thankful we can live vicariously through him. Check out more of Pete's adventures in paradise, from the runways to the streets.
Above, from left: "The quintessential Brazilian fashion week style shot." "Rio is truly a city contrasts. You have the beauty of the beach and behind that you have the favellas, but no matter what you always have the most breathtaking views. Here's a shot of sunset with Christo in the background."

Above: "The Redley show took place in the middle of the jungle on a mountaintop about an hour outside of the city. During the show there were huge butterflies floating everywhere in the air. It was completely surreal."
"Fashion Rio really is one of the best fashion weeks you can experience with all your senses."
