Think Big
"It's about being really bold and doing something different, and just thinking about the audience and their experience," says Riggall. "Try to go beyond what other people have done. Always think of new ideas."
Once you've got your theme in mind, think of ways to implement it in the most fantastic way possible. Whether that involves scouring eBay for discount tiki torches, slapping a roast suckling pig in the lounge, or hiring a K-Mid impersonator, you shouldn't be afraid to commit fully to your concept. Riggall adds that it's important to consider the event moment by moment, with actors interacting with audience members as they queue out front. How can you entertain your guests throughout the evening, even when they run out for a smoke? How can you build a world of your own?
