Sure, one rarely needs an excuse for raising the proverbial roof, but coming up with a specific theme will help focus your energy and creates a level of excitement and purpose that guests can rally around. Throw an indoor luau in January, a fake royal baby shower for Kate Middleton, an homage to your favourite '80s video games...whatever. Just go with it.
