It's a Shoe-In! Nylon and Nike Celebrate a Bright New Collaboration

Nylon mag recently teamed up with Nike to create a collection of ultra-colorful kicks, and, naturally, threw an equally colorful party to show 'em off last night. The long and lean Nike store in SoHo played host to a variety of Nylon editors clad in their new funky shoes, as well as fans like Harry McNally, Josh Madden, and Mama and Baby Lohan (sadly, La Lohan was not present)...oh, and those City girls, but at some point I'll have to stop mentioning them in these party posts. My good friend Malcolm (guitarist from the recently re-named and newly-managed band, Your Nature, who are amazing, P.S) left without realizing there was actual food at this shindig (and I mean pulled pork sandwiches and french fries--none of this healthy fashion food stuff), but then again, the plates barely managed to make it past the kitchen without being gobbled up by hungry party-goers. Who says fashion people don't eat?

Scarf? Hood? Who Cares! These Ain't Your Lunchlady's Snoods
When we first heard the word snood, we thought it was some poor marketer's attempt to combine snuggly-scarf-hoods, and would join shacket, slanket, and skort in fashion's awkward S-word lexicon. It turns out that snoods have been around since the...
