The Internet may very well be our home turf, but there's nothing quite like turning the monitor off and spending some time with a good book. Yesterday, we met our literary heros up close when we attended The New York Public Library's Annual Lions Gala where esteemed authors such as Annie Proulx of Brokeback Mountain were recognized. The theme of the event, "A Bright Future," drew out some seriously glittery black-tie dresses as guests celebrated the enlightening jobs that these movers-and-shakers have done in New York City. Check out our snaps from the evening—and if this event can be seen as any sort of barometer, the future looks incredibly sparkly!
