Katy Perry Pulls Out Her Giant Chapstick For PAPER's Beautiful People Party
Getting into PAPER's annual Beautiful People party last night was a mob-scene spectacle, so much so that we almost considered heaving-ho and eating take-out on our couch instead. But we prevailed, and we're glad we did. Pretty people packed into the massive two-story Hiro Ballroom space. Among the attendees were Lady Sovereign, Erin Fetherston sporting one of her own sparkly animal masks, Lydia Hearst, Kate Lanphear, and of course, Katy Perry. However you may feel about the girl-kissing, chapstick-wearing singer, when she pulled out a massive rubber "chapstick" on stage and launched into her breakout hit, we really got the urge to kiss a girl too. Our friend and singer-songwriter Reni Lane was standing next to us, so we almost went for it, but she was too busy having a love fest with PAPER's reigning It girl, Mickey Boardman, instead. Oh well. There's always next year.
