Art, Music, and Heat: Shvitzing at the 303 Gallery Opening

Last night we were as thankful about being on the guest list at the opening of 303 Gallery's new 5,000-square-foot as we were about having hydrated ourselves beforehand. Again, another night, another superheated event.

This time, Thurston Moore of up-and-coming teen-pop act Sonic Youth played DJ, followed later by a riotous set by The Virgins. The fashion set blended well with the artists and gallery girls, though we must admit we had a better time face hunting the former as opposed to the later (philistines that we are). In attendance were Barneys Fashion Director Julie Gilhart, socialites Genevieve Jones and Byrdie Bell, model Jessica Stam, designer Rogan Gregory, "it" girl Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, and musician Lissy Trullie. There were more of the famous and beautiful to be seen, but the party's gourmet hot-dog stand outside called and we were listening.
