Ah, Paris in August! Frizz-inducing humidity, lost tourists galore, and the sour smell of recession wafting across the Seine...For those of us without the standard 3 weeks of les vacances (hence the self-pitying negativity), it's been a quiet end-of-August week in the capital as most Parisians have traded in steamy urban living for a little coastal R&R.
